ARMYs, V OST is coming!

BTS V is reportedly joining the artist lineup for the official soundtrack of close friend Choi Woo-shik's upcoming drama series Our Beloved Summer.

Award-winning music director Nam Hye-sung, previously known for his work in popular South Korean dramas Goblin, It's Okay Not to Be Okay, and Crash Landing on You, shared that the song for the new drama's soundtrack had originally been written with the “Butter” singer in mind.

The reports quickly stirred excitement among BTS fans, popularly known as ARMYs, as the topic dominated the worldwide trending list on Twitter.

Both the Grammy-nominated singer and Our Beloved Summer lead actor belong to a star-studded group of real-life friends called 'Wooga Squad.' They are joined by South Korean record producer Peakboy, and actors Park Seo-joon and Park Hyung-sik.

For Park Seo-joon's 2020 hit drama Itaewon Class, V had also graced the official soundtrack with his record-smashing, self-composed song “Sweet Night.” The track recently crossed a new milestone as the first and fastest Korean OST to reach over 175 million streams on Spotify.

In 2016, V teamed up with fellow BTS member Jin for “It's Definitely You,” a song on the soundtrack of Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth where V also made his acting debut.

Our Beloved Summer is a coming-of-age romantic comedy starring Parasite actor Choi Woo-shik and Itaewon Class actress Kim Da-mi. The story follows ex-lovers who reunite after ten years because of their high school documentary resurfacing and gaining viral popularity.

The drama series will premiere on December 6 at 10 pm KST.
